Tips To Help Make Life With A Catheter A Little Easier
Living With A Urinary Catheter › Forums › Urethral Strictures And Their Treatments › Update no more catheter
Well 21 days later, I am one catheter free, all went well and I was able to pee and wow the stream is incredible. They did not take out the subaprubic catheter however, it’s kind of there just in case for two more weeks! I can’t seem to find sticky enough bandages to hold in place. I was hoping you guys could help me out. As far as peeing, it’s a little painful and I seem to be going a lot but I think that’s normal after having a catheter removed.
That’s great news!
You can find Durapore tape on Amazon, it’s the only tape I found that would hold well. It’s the same tape that the hospitals use in the operating rooms.
It might be uncomfortable for a few days when you pee, but it’ll improve quickly. Also, your bladder shrinks a bit and becomes sensitive to stretching when you have a catheter for any decent amount of time. How often you have to go should return to normal within a few weeks.
