Tips To Help Make Life With A Catheter A Little Easier
Living With A Urinary Catheter › Forums › Urethral Strictures And Their Treatments › Unable to urinate at vcug
My 22 yo son was unable to urinate at the vcug yesterday. It’s been 3 weeks since his urethroplasty. He had a buccal mucosa graft and has had a suprapubic catheter in for 3 months. The doctor said not to worry about it, it’s probably performance anxiety, but he is very concerned. He is worried the structure wasn’t fully repaired. They said they saw a hole and he has to keep his suprapubic catheter in. We return in 2 weeks to repeat the vcug.
I couldn’t find any info on the internet about not being able to void. Does anyone have any info? We are worried.
Hi, did it work out the second time? I hope so. I had trouble voiding at the vcug, but not in the bathroom after cath was removed. I think being in the flat position made it harder for me.
