Tips To Help Make Life With A Catheter A Little Easier
Living With A Urinary Catheter › Forums › Urethral Strictures And Their Treatments › Trying to find reliable info
My husband was just diagnosed with a 1.5 to 2cm stricture in the bulbar region. We saw a dr who has experience in urethral stricture. He is recommending an end to end urthroplasty. I know this is the easiest surgery but from what I can find the complications of ed occur more with this surgery. Also the dr said that there would be penile shortening. I am wondering how much. Also how bad is the bruising and the pain? Any tips with dealing with the catheter? How long before he feels himself again? This surgery really seems to have a lot of complications. BTW the only symptomhe had was some microscopic blood n his urine found by family dr. He has had slow stream for probably 30 years. He really never thought anything about it. He has had cystoscope and RUG for diagnosis. Thank for any information!
Get it done is the only experience I can offer. It really has changed my life. I had a 2.5cm bulbar stricture. I only experienced penile shortening after catheter removal for about a month. Everything has returned back to normal. Please feel free to contact me via email on my blog.
