Had buccal urethroplasty using buccal mucosa graft on November 5th. Any tips or advice to get though this period safely and heal according to doctors intent? Rest? Limited movement, ice? What should I expect with the followup appointment to see if I’m healed for removing catheter on 25 November?
Chris
Mattbl I saw your post via email but not on here, so thank you for your insight. I’m 10 days away from removal and most swelling has gone down but at times and different positions I feel like there’s liquid moving inside me (scrotum) almost like when I had the stricture and residual urine would hang out at the stricture point and I could essentially feel it sloshing around…any of those feelings occur?
I’m sorry, I just saw this. For whatever reason my post didn’t go up and I don’t get emails on replies.
Hope things are going well with your recovery, post-removal. I had a lot of strange feelings with the catheter in, but a lot of that basically went away after removal. Scrotum was very swollen and tender throughout. It still is, and I’m 10 weeks post-surgery. There’s definitely still some swollen/”liquidy” feelings in my scrotum. It’s getting better week by week, though. Hopefully it’s the same for you!
