Hi,
First of all this, this website has been a godsend thank you soo much ken.
I was diagnosed with a urethral stricture and im meeting my urologist in the begining of january to see which course he advises i take. Acter reading up extensivly i think he is going to go with the urethroplasty. Which i have come to accept is something i have to do. However, i am currently in college and have a great internship lined up over the summer (begining of may) which i do not want to have to miss.
I wanted to know how long you think it takes to after the op to become fine enough to sit in chairs for a long period of time.
Hello Bob,
I’m almost 7 weeks post urethroplasty and sitting on a sofa is absolutely fine. However, sitting on hard chairs or even cushioned chairs still proves to be a problem. I can manage around an hour before having to stand up. It leaves a dull ache in the perineum.
