Does anyone has a recommendation for an expert surgeon for urethroplasty in Southern California? I’m finding that it’s difficult to find a urologist who is trained in this procedure. I found Dr. Joel Gelman, but he does not take our insurance. Thank you!
My son, who is 23 was recommended to have a urethroplasty for his stricture by Dr. Jill Buckley in San Diego. Does anyone have any information about her or feedback? Thank you!
I don’t have any actual experience with her, but after looking her up she seems to have all of the qualifications and training for performing a urethroplasty.
The most important thing when choosing a surgeon is to make sure they’ve been specifically trained for urethral reconstruction, and not just an ordinary urologist who think he or she can do it. She certainly seems to be properly trained.
