Tips To Help Make Life With A Catheter A Little Easier
Living With A Urinary Catheter › Forums › Urethral Strictures And Their Treatments › 4 Weeks after Urethroplasty (VCUG Today)
Tagged: catheter, urethroplasty, VCUG
Had my Voiding cystourethrogram today just a day shy of 4 weeks after my BMG Urethroplasty @ the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Ma with Dr. Vanni.
VCUG was uneventful, just had to wait for the contrast to do its job in my bladder, I went through 2 bottles pretty quickly. Had a little trouble getting started as there were 3 other people in the room, but once I did, it was a great feeling. Met with Dr. Vanni afterwards and he said the graft looked great. It was a nervous twenty minutes waiting for that OK. There is no greater feeling than getting rid of that catheter.
There is relatively little pain at the incision site and it is starting to level out. Zero pain where they took the graft from my cheek, still just a little numb. I get tired pretty easily but that is probably a result of spending the last weeks on the couch. Again, thank you to everyone who has posted their experiences on here, they have been invaluable.
