Hi everyone,
I hope that those of you that have had a urethroplasty are doing well and those of you that are just being the process are finding that the information and conversation here to be useful, I know that I did. Thanks again Ken.
I just got back from my 2 year follow-up appointment. All went well. My doctor was very please with the outcome and could see little reason that anything would be problematic (there is always a chance that the stricture could come back).
He reminded me that when I came to him two years and two months ago my urination stream was almost non-existent and now, my stream was incredible. YAY! I can’t thank him enough for the work that he did and making my life normal after 27 years.
I wanted to pass along another resource that he is newly a part of. It is a TURNS – (Trauma and Urologic Reconstructive Network of Surgeons) A multi-institutional group of specialty-trained urologists that is focused on trauma and urologic reconstructive patient care.
