Tips To Help Make Life With A Catheter A Little Easier
Living With A Urinary Catheter › Forums › Urethral Strictures And Their Treatments › 2 Months post Urethroplasty
I am exiting out of the 2 month period since I had urethroplasty – BMG surgery.
Everything is still holding – the repair and the incision. There was no real reason for it not to.
The incision has really flattened out considerably. The two ends seem to be the last to go. I have heard that dissolving sutures can take a few weeks or up to a few months to dissolve completely.
I am continuing to sit in a slouching position. Will most likely do this until the end of my 6th month.
I have been walking regularly, increasing the distance every couple of days and lifting light weights with high reps to regain the strength that I lost.
I seemed to have picked up some type of fungal infection at some point. Not sure if it is related to the surgery or not. I have never had an infection of this type before so it makes me believe that the multiple types of antibiotics that I was taking for so long may have messed with my internal flora. I am making strides to get it taken care of.
Overall, I feel good. Long days with no nap exhaust me. My stream is still great. I smile every time I go pee. The progress is slow but continuing.
