I went for my (slightly over) three month follow-up today. Getting there was interesting, because we had to drive past where the Amtrak train just derailed. It crashed onto the southbound lanes, and we were headed north, but it still took us twice as long to get there. The hospital was great though, and got me in right away, despite the fact that I was an hour late.
The visit went well. My flow rate was fine, and the surgeon said that the incisions were healing great. He said the old way of doing the surgery had a high success rate, but they would sometimes see the opening close back up some. With the new technique they never see that though, so he said he doesn’t see me ever having to have any further treatments. Great news at the end of a horrible year.
