Something else I wanted to ask you… How is your wound where the suprapubic catheter was inserted? Mine is still really tender, although it’s not weeping or anything.

Thanks for the support. I’m sure yours will go just fine. It’s easy to get scared when they throw out numbers like 86% cure rate or whatever. We instinctively worry that we’ll be in that 14%. That number is misleading, however, as even the vast majority of that smaller number turn out fine after a simple procedure. It’s not a surgery that any of us look forward to, but it’s not a diagnosis that any of us wanted either. In the long run we’re actually incredibly lucky to be living in a time where there is a treatment for what we have. A generation ago they weren’t so fortunate. I know I’ll be here through your recovery to help in whatever way I can.
